A method for quickly detecting the quality of brushless motors in electric vehicles
More and more people are riding electric bikes now, and occasionally there may be problems while riding. Brushless motor is an important component of electric vehicles. Below, the editor has compiled methods for detecting electric vehicle motors. We hope that interested friends will not miss this article.
Simple method: When the three-phase wire is suspended and disconnected without a link, the brushless motor should have no resistance when manually idling. If any two phase wires are short circuited (short circuited), the motor should have obvious intermittent resistance. Consistent resistance indicates that the motor coil is normal and good.
2. Hall rapid detection method
The brushless motor of an electric vehicle has five control wires, the red and black wires are the motor, the positive and negative sides of the three Hall element power supply, and the other three are the output terminals of the three Hall elements. Unplug the controller and only insert the red and black wires. Connect a multimeter with a DC voltage of 10 volts and connect the red wire to the plugged in red wire. Connect the black wires to the other three wires, one at a time. Rotate the wheel by hand at an angle. If the multimeter has a voltage variation of 4V~0V, it is normal; Otherwise, this is abnormal. All three wires were measured using the same method. If there is a normal variation of 4V-0V, it indicates that the control hall of the motor is good. The other three thicker lines are motor lines. As long as there are many Ohmic resistors between the lines and the resistance values are not significantly different, it can be judged that the brushless motor is good.
Sometimes it doesn't work when checking the circuit. People don't want to try with lights. I heard that it's impossible to use an electric meter without electricity. When using the lamp, the lamp does not light up or cannot be completely extinguished. If there is voltage, there may not necessarily be current. This is the virtual voltage of the battery. It will fall off after installation.
